with the internet it seems preferred walk ons are not as lowly as they once were
Christian Stewart is a pretty good example. He turned out better than Southwick, Affleck, Engemann, Lark, Peterson etc., and other more highly touted Utah QB's even though he had great high school numbers.

I think we naturally want to see the higher recruited guys play, because they have the physical tools, but not many would argue Hine is more productive than Carter at RB.
