So you guys who have taken multiple trips to each of Hawaii, Europe, Cancun
Caribbean, cruises, Disney, BYU road games, etc. How do you do it?

It seems like, unless you're doing a lot of these as business trips, it would be difficult to have both the time and money. For example, most jobs that would pay enough to allow someone to regularly afford such trips would not allow for the time off (and vice versa).

For example, for the first 7 years of my career I worked in BigLaw. While the partners generally made bank, only the really senior rainmaker attorneys etc., had the luxury to take much time off for purely recreational travel (the rank and file partners did not - and the associates - forget about it!).

And then you have all of other things that end up taking vacation time such as illness, emergencies, family events (weddings, funerals, family reunions, etc.), and church responsibilities (scout camp, youth conferences, etc.). Where do you find the time to do all this stuff and still take the big trips?

And even if you ran a successful business (where you set your own vacation schedule) it seems like it would be difficult to leave the business for so many trips (unless, again, the trips were business-related). I guess maybe if you inherited a lot of money, won the lottery, or cashed out of a startup . . .

And if you have kids, do they usually come too? Or do they usually stay home (and, if so, do you swap off with relatives/friends, or simply ask grandparents)?

Not trying to be sour grapes (as I've taken a few of these kinds of trips over the years), just seems like it would be difficult for anyone under, say, age 50 to do a lot of them, unless many of them were business-related.
