Wasn't there some story on here about some guy that got a boot on his car
at BYU and he figured out how to take it off by deflating the tire or something. He took it off, left the boot on the ground, and drove off. A day later he got a nasty call (not sure how he got the phone #) from the towing company owner who basically yelled at him and said that if the boot had been damaged or stolen, he was liable for the replacement costs. He laughed at him and hung up.
