I'm sure that discourages a lot of students. When I attended BYU you could sneak in the back door by signing up for night classes and spring/summer terms. I had a roommate who BARELY passed high school (it came down to one test he had to ace to graduate from HS). Now, it's not like that. ACT scores are through the roof. It's almost like getting in to Harvard now. Unless your a great athlete, of course.
