Miami was #1 and defending national champs. Miami was a machine and something of a cultural phenomenon with 2 Live Crew, the controversy, etc.
BYU was ranked #18 and had a kid on the Heisman watch list.
I get that everyone wants to see Harbaugh, but there have been bigger games in the state for sure. Neither team is ranked, nobody expects anything out of Michigan this year, and Utah is the defending 5th place team in the south division of the Pac-12. Yewts are wetting themselves with excitement, but that happens to a lot of people when they've had too much to drink.
I'd say a number of BYU v. Utah games were much bigger than this within the state's borders. TCU v. Utah in 2010 was much bigger than this.
