With Gorman and Findlay Prep, Vegas oddly has top flight teams in every major sport. It was always a basketball destination, due to holiday and summer tourneys and Tarkanian. Baseball weather made it a solid baseball town, but other than for the super bowl it has never been a football town. There are actually local teams that can even upset those guys in those two sports.

Really odd to see the best high school team in the country come from Vegas. Bryce Harper, Kris Bryant, Anthony Bennet, Shabazz Muhammad, Rashad Vaughn all make sense.

High school football us not that big in Vegas or Nevada in general. Just the Fertitas, the UFC guys, and the other alumni bought themselves a good team.
