My experience has been that the Ute fans outside of Utah

Are less aggressive in their fandom. They cheer for the Utes and they love them, but the anti-BYU stuff goes away. They are really fans of Utah and not the group of anti-BYU/anti-Church fans.

This is from my 15 years of living in California, Colorado, Arizona, Louisiana, Nevada, Texas and Indiana.
