My mind changed slowly over the course of all of this
The more I thought about it, it occurred to me how incredibly weak their case was. What really got me was that the punishment that is prescribed for deflating footballs is something like a $10,000 fine. He never should have been suspended for that at all. IMO Brady should have been suspended 1 game for not cooperating with the investigation because that's the only thing they really have evidence of him doing.

I think it was Goodell's arrogance that turned this into such a train wreck for the NFL. It really all started with him being the sole judge of punishments in the NFL. Not only does he have more important things to deal with, but it's also not that fair. I can't believe the NFLPA ever agreed to it with the latest CBA.

Either Goodell needs to be replaced or he's got to rethink his whole approach to rule enforcement.
