He musta grown up a heck of a lot in 3 weeks. That's what happens when you lose.
You want respect...you want narrative--in this world you have to win.
Don't get me wrong--we got our respect that weekend by shocking expectations & giving UCLA quite the scare--& then we forfeited what little was remembered the very next weekend. To mention us too much from here on out would only hurt the current darling, UCLA, & the rising darling, Michigan.
It's just the way the cookie crumbles. It's happening to BYU just like it'd happen for at least 90% of the P5 teams as well. Very few exceptions.
