1) with bsu back in the top25, SOS is really not that important. If byu wants to stay in top 25 we are over scheduling. If/when bsu runs the table they will be top 10 by the end of the year. Their best win will be...Washington? Does byu want a more competitive season or do they want better rankings? The polls don't value SOS very much. If you lose you are out and if you win you are in...opponent doesn't matter much.
SOS matters for playoff chances but not for a 5-15 ranking.
2) to the pirate claiming we Ruts against uconn by kicking a field goal. Uconn was down 2 scores. I think I would rather have a team kick the field goal and here is why...I will take my chances blocking a field goal attempt and running it back with an onside kick chance vs having a team hand me the ball on the 20 yard line with :45 seconds and have to score twice. What you call ruts is actually giving uconn a better chance to win. No bsu fan should ever complain about ruts in the first place.
