My biggest beef with CUs is that they do not have to pay taxes
so automatically they have a 30% less overhead from the bank and can therefore offer those rates.
The CU concept was needed at one point-- provide services to the under-banked groups. Now they are competing directly with banks and not having to play by the same rules.
