As predicted in the linked thread, the football gods have been displeased with Nebraska. This happened because they fired a coach with a good winning record. 5 games into the season and they will need to beat 3 ranked teams and win out to tie last years record that got the previous coach canned.

I am not suggesting Bronco is the best coach, but to fire him a his record will bring the same wrath to Provo and nothing will drive us into irrelevance faster than a meltdown over the next few years. Bronco was an unknown/untested commodity as a HC when hired, so was Crowton. For right now, I would take a proven commodity and take what I know I am going to get over a gamble that the next coach will be better than Bronco. Of all of BYUs HCs only one has been better than Bronco (and based on the first 11 years it was not better by much).
