So last Fri. my Bro. had an extra ticket. He didn't care to try and sell it and my entrepreneurial 14yo decided he would try his luck.
So we took the ticket down to across the street from LES and before we could even hold up our ticket to sell a professional scalper offered us $10 for it (T-shirt said "I buy tickets") without ever knowing where it was or anything.
This was like 5 min before kickoff and he had a stack of tickets.
So my question is, there's no way he was going to sell those tickets before kickoff.
So what is the strategy in buying tickets he won't be able to sell?
My theory is that perhaps any non-redeemed tickets can be sold back or exchanged back to BYU for a full refund? So he would make money that way?
There's gotta be something to it that I'm missing and I've wondered about it for a while. Who knows what the secret is to buying up hordes of tickets that won't be resold or used?
