I sent a text the day before the interview, and just a couple days after she told me of her engagement. She texted back and said she was sorry but she had just met her "soul mate", who was a non-member, and had called off the engagement and was going to marry this new guy.

I decided to wait until Sunday to talk with her rather than respond via text. I made another appointment with a different couple for the time slot. That night two couples showed up. I thought she had brought her "soul mate" with her so I invited them in and asked the other couple to wait a few minutes.

It was apparent after only a couple of minutes that the guy wasn't the "soul mate" but the original fiancé. I asked her what her phone number was and I had sent the text to a number just one number off from her number.

I am sure the one receiving the text was a member because of the way the response was written. I am sure they enjoyed the joke at my expense.
