I rent each room for $600 which is enough to cover my Mortgage and most of my bills.

My newest roommate is a kid fresh out of collage who works as an IT Contractor for the Department of Defense. He works swing shifts so his schedule is constantly changing.

In the 3 months here I have never seen him cook his own meals, not even cold cereal.

Now you might be wondering why I picked the entertainment category, it's because the only thing he does when he is home is play video games on his computer. I can constantly hear him yelling at the computer. I don't care what games he plays but last night was the worst. I woke up to a bunch of swearing and what sounded like Stop shooting me, stop shooting me.

Finally I had enough and knocked on his door and said, it is 3am what in the heck is your problem?

This kid looked at me with tears in his eyes and said some other player would just not let him play the game. At first he just stood right in front of him blocking him from moving anywhere. Once he finally got away from him that guy would just shoot him over and over again either killing him or letting the other players know where he was and they would kill him.

I told him, look just go to a different room to play, I have to get up for work in a few hours tone it down. He said it was the principal of the thing and went back to playing. but after that he did keep it down and I was able to get back to sleep.

I picked up some ear plugs on the way home from work I think I'll be sleeping through his game playing tonight. I only have about $6.5K left to pay off so after April I'll be able to tell him to go find his own place. I am counting down the weeks.
