because we have to schedule P5 teams and prove we are able to take on that schedule and compete, and by going back to a G5 sends the wrong message.
2- Recruiting will eventually improve as we keep playing tough teams, get exposure, although our recruiting class rankings of 60-75 are worse than we had when we were in the MWC. (although this was before the P5 G5 world)
But I'm not sure BYU's equipped depth wise to handle a p5 schedule without being in a p5 conference and benefiting from that (recruiting wise) We were 2 hail marys away from going 1-4 and I think we need to have more exposure than just being ranked for a couple weeks and what the end of games heroics gave us for our recruiting to really change.
