This is different. The symposium relates to religious freedoms. BYU's policy
is limiting on religious freedom for a subset of individuals. It is fair argument ot say that the policy is in direct violation of the spirit of the symposium. Bottom line, This professor who back out is talking about the principle of religious freedom generally.
