It's the one component in my home theater system that didn't have one so I had to get a receiver with HDMI pass-through to be able to listen to the sound. I kind of prefer running the video outputs from the components to the TV and the audio outputs from the components to the receiver because that way I can still watch the TV without turning on the receiver, but it's water under the bridge at this point.
