Side notes...
And this is just off the top of my head from my feeble memory...

It is perceived at times that BYU has ended up with a lower than expected seed in the NCAA tournament to default back to one that would not have a Sunday game slot throughout the tournament. This is a sacrifice/compromise that the school with the standard they have set are willing to accept.

Also I believe some years back the woman's rugby team forfeited rather than playing a Sunday game in the NCAA tournament. They had a chance to go to the finals with their team that year and even though they are a club team and did not have to follow the strict adherence to the no-Sunday play rule that the school stands by they chose to forfeit by a team vote.

It is a sacrifice at times for sure but one that most connected to the school stand by. It is notably discussed often in conjunction with possible conference expansion and believed to be part of the reason we haven't gotten in to a P5 yet.
