Agreed. And often newer releases aren't available to rent, only to buy.
Which is frustrating because most towns, like mine, don't even have a video rental store anymore. My only option for a rental is online.

This is why I still use Netflix DVD rentals. Stoneage, I know. But they have the full catalog of movies (unlike streaming), and it is cheap. Lacks the convenience of streaming rentals, but it's worth it. Depending on when you watch, it can get down to less than $2/movie.
