also, of note, LDS athletes who chose to play on sunday at non-BYU universities
can still be in good standing with the church, hold a temple recommend (our highest standard of living), etc. but for some reason those who choose to represent the church at BYU, ironically, don't get the chance to represent the church at the highest level because of BYU's non-sunday stance. this is the #1 reason why many elite LDS recruits choose schools like Stanford, ND, UCLA, etc over BYU.
if BYU would fall in line of what the LDS church actually teaches its members about this our sports programs would improve, we'd land better talent, we'd almost assure ourselves inclusion in next round of P5 conf expansion and BYU/LDS church would get more exposure and missionary opportunities than they could dream of right now as Indy/WCC members.
