Many here on CB will be the first to say that we are considered a P5 team, and they will point to the exemptions conferences have made for BYU as far as scheduling. I don't think these exceptions mean much of anything, and today proves that.

I'll be convinced that BYU is considered a P5 team when we get a fair share of the CFP payouts. Right now we have arguably the worst deal in regards to payouts of all FBS teams. This tells me that BYU doesn't have a strong voice in the decision making, and is just along for the ride.
