Macronutrient balance is making sure that you're getting your calories from
the proper proportion of the three major macronutrients: fat, carbs, and protein.

So, if you burn 2800 kcal/day, eating 2800 kcal/day is good, but getting 45% of those calories from protein, 30% from fat, and 25% from carbs is better (those are just general macro ratios; the actual ratio would depend on your specific goals).
