Just for a second, Imagine that UConn was a conference game, and that ECU and
Cinci were also conference games. Right now we would still be 3-2 of course, that would not change... but we would be 1-0 in conference.

Right now: Houston, Navy, Memphis are all undefeated and in the west, and Temple is undefeated in the East. If this scenario, The 3 teams from the west are ahead on the schedule.

I completely understand that the AAC is not the big 12 and there is not an autobid. HOWEVER, for me as a fan, Id now have a very high interest in Houston, Navy and Memphis games. I also keep an eye on Temple, or whoever I believe we would play in the CCG. I probably watch most of their games until we play, if not catch all the highlights and track the scores.

We also have the goal of beating them and making it the conference championship game, each game means a little more. All the while keeping in mind that the highest ranked G5 team automatically gets an NY6 bowl. We would still have a glimmer of hope for that.

I like Independence, but I do miss the fun of keeping tabs on conference foes and playing for something besides 12-0.

If it became 100% clear that the Big12 was not expanding, or atleast not taking BYU then I would enjoy being in the AAC. Bring Boise along as well. Get yourself some custom ESPN package deal, like a mix of what we have now and what Boise has with the MWC. Bring hoops over, that would be a fun Bball conference... Uconn, Memphis, Temple, Houston etc.

I love football, I will always attend the games as much as I am able. But for me as a fan, at the this point in the season, AAC is better than Indi.
