Apparently the Dept of Homeland Security will begin implementing portions of a 2005 law on Saturday. They no longer recognize driver's licenses from the following states as valid forms of ID for use at federal installations:
Alaska
Arizona,
Arkansas
California
Idaho
Illinois
Kentucky
Louisiana
Maine
Mass.
Michigan
Minnesota
Missouri
Montana
New Hampshire
New Jersey
New Mexico
New York
N. Carolina
N. Dakota
Oklahoma
Oregon
Pennsylvania
Rhode Island
S. Carolina
Texas
Virginia
Washington
"Enhanced" IDs from several of the states above are acceptable, but standard issue DLs are not.
