I used to do the things both RebelScum and DogBoy suggested, and
those things really helped: bring activities for them to do, feed them cougar tails or whatever, and sit up at the top where there is space for them to roam a little. The corners were full against BSU, but there was room up there against UConn. So there will probably be room up there again this week.

The other thing I used to do was that in my mind I determined that I wanted the experience to be positive for the kids, not an ordeal for them. So I made up my mind ahead of time that I would leave when they wanted to. That's hard for someone like me who always wants to see the clock tick down to 0:00, but I was in it for the long haul, so I wanted my kids to look forward to the games each year, not dread them.

To make that a little easier on me, I always took my youngest to the game with the weakest opponent each year (I always get 2 tickets, so every game is a date with dad for one of the kids--or my HCBW). That way if I had to leave at the end of the 3rd quarter, at least it would be a blow out with no drama remaining in the game.

That would suggest that you wait until the Wagner game to take your kids, or maybe leave the youngest one home this week, and bring them to that game. I don't know if that would even be an option for you, but if it is, you might want to consider it.
