BYU is a punching bag. While I love the gospel, there are things about the
church that drive me crazy at times. A good church member won't direct his frustrations/anger at church authorities, but BYU for many becomes a symbol of the things they dislike about the church at which they can direct their frustrations. Let's face it, it's not always easy to submit yourself to the demands of church membership and BYU hatred may for some be kind of a healthy thing.
