WHAT A GREAT WEEKEND!!!!! Langi is THE MAN!!!!
My oldest son and daughter and I flew out from Florida to the homecoming game. I hadn't been to a home game since I left the university 15 years ago so I was really looking forward to this trip.

Thursday, we went to the Homecoming Spectacular. Friday, we took an official tour of campus and then I took the kids around on an "unofficial" tour. We had so much fun looking around the campus and enjoying BYU Creamery chocolate milk.

On gameday, we got to the stadium to see and enjoy the CougarWalk. But nothing could prepare us for the AWESOMENESS that awaited my kids and I in the stadium. About an hour before the game, we went over to the area outside of the locker room because my daughter wanted to try and meet some of the players (not gonna lie, I wanted to meet some too). When we arrived, Harvey Langi walked out of the locker room. Elder Langi had served in our stake and we met him briefly while he was serving here, so we called out to him in hopes that he would say hi. He did better than that!! He gave my daughter a hug, took a couple of pictures with us, and took a couple of minutes to chat with us. Well, that made our day, but that wasn't the end of it. A couple of minutes later, he came back looking for us and said "I can't let you guys fly all the way from Florida and not come out onto the field. Follow me!" Wow!!! We were so excited. He led us onto the sideline where other "guests" were hanging out. It was so AWESOME to be on the sideline watching warmups. My kids were able to shake Elder Uchtdorf's hand as he walked the sidelines, and my daughter and a friend who came to the game with us made it on to the BYUtv pregame show as they danced to the stadium music. As the players were warming up, I told my daughter to yell out to Terenn Houk and make a touchdown sign so that he would come give her a hug. She did. He laughed and said that he couldn't right now because he was warming up. We had a great laugh about that.

The game itself was great. After the game, we went back to the locker room area and got our picture taken with Corbin Kaufusi. On the way out of the stadium, we ran into Harvey Langi again and expressed our gratitude to him. He was so humble and gracious and posed for another picture with us. Man, what a night!!!!

I don't know if Harvey reads Cougarboard or not, but if he does, I just want to say a big heartfelt "Thank You" for helping make this trip for our family truly special. My son and I are Cougar fans for life, but Harvey just helped make my daughter a Cougar fan for life.
