This is my first time posting on CB, although I have followed CB for quite some time now. I was wondering if anyone was aware of studies done, or data that I could access, to look into NFL development. In recruiting, I often hear people say that certain teams prepare players better for the NFL, and I am wondering how much the player's innate ability has to do with that. It seems that a school that takes a bunch of 2- or 3-star recruits and develops a few into NFL talents may actually be better at developing talent than a school (like Alabama) that gets a bunch of 4- and 5-star recruits.
So I would like to see how many NFL players different schools are placing, and the average star ranking out of high school. I also want to look at the number of 3, 4, and 5 star recruits each school gets (i.e., what percentage of the 5-star, 4-star, etc. recruits are making it to the NFL each year). Obviously, if there is already a study that has been done analyzing this, that would be even better.
