New Hampshire.
You can get land fairly cheap. You are near enough the coast. You get the benefits of rural living while being close enough to the T taking you into Boston when you get the urge to do so. The state is conservative and you pay nearly no state taxes.
When my last two children are out of high school, I will be purchasing property there as a get away.
