How do you know it was the Ute staff for all we know he can be using the honor
Code as an excuse to get out of his commitment to BYU. Just maybe he wanted to play for Utah because they are in the Pac12 and play better competition week in week out. Maybe he doesn't want to play teams like Wagner because they are Wagner. Maybe he wants to play for a conference championship every year with Utah he can but at BYU he can't, maybe he wants a better chance of making the NFL. Maybe he doesn't want people mad at him so he uses the honor code to save face.
Who cares if he decommitted it's his life and if he feels the honor code is to tough for him to follow so be it. Better than he figures it out now than having to with draw from school before the season even starts.
