no problem at all with the HC, but I had a fundamental issue with my Book of Mormon class and Physics classes grade having equal weight on my GPA... Years later, I've seen the error of my ways, and sometimes wish I'd actually attended BYU and spent required time learning more about the gospel... I was a slug at USU and didn't attend institute once I was married.

But this kid even if he's saying all the wrong things to justify his decision, will probably be fine... I think it's amazing that he originally committed because that's what his father who had just passed wanted... months later, he's back in school, big man on campus, and #4 Utah comes along (don't think they didn't time it that way) and offers.. really easy to forget what you thought was your original reason to commit to BYU... now you can tell people you are going to a school that might make the CFP with a little luck.

So he's human, he's trying to be true to himself, maybe he will make a few mistakes, but he's right, it's up to him how that is handled to a point... at BYU, he's under a microscope, at the UofU, he'll have a little more breathing room... and there is nothing wrong with that.
