Anyone who follows college basketball knows that LBSU is a solid team. Last year their RPI was #117 out of 351 D1 teams. Ahead of several teams from the PAC 12, MWC and WCC. In fact, just based on RPI, they would have been #4 in the WCC (ahead of Pepperdine…a team that beat us twice last year). Point is, this is a capable program that can compete with anyone on a given night. They graduated several guys from a year ago, but I still expect them to be strong. I think that BYU’s improved defense and depth will give us the edge, but anyone who thinks we’re going to go in there and breeze to a double digit win is mistaken.
