I remember talking to a good friend of mine a few weeks ago about BYU and Utah football. I'm a huge BYU fan, he's a huge Utah fan, but we're good buddies so the discussion is always civil. Anyway, at the time Utah was flying high as the No. 3 team in the country, and they were playoff- and Pac-12 Championship-bound. I made the remark that it would be something to see BYU and Utah play each other in the Vegas Bowl and he scoffed. He wouldn't even hear it. He thought that scenario was as otherworldly as an alien poop stain.

"No way," he said "the Utes even come close to the Vegas Bowl."

Well... they're pretty close, amigo. I should call my friend. I hope he's doing okay.
