Eh, pretty good. Definitely gritty, bloodier than Daredevil, but this type of gore messes with your mind more, because it wasn't just good ol' fashioned bad-guys killin' folk 'cause that's their business. You're thinking about the people carving each other up because they're powerless not to. Creepy but in an entertaining, flair-for-the-macabre way. I liked that they connected it to Daredevil through Claire also. She was one of my favorite characters in that series.

Interestingly, and I concede this could just be personal preference, I wasn't a big fan of the way David Tennant played the character. I realize that they were doing the whole he's-messed-up-in-the-childhoods-and-just-wants-her-to-love-him thing, but he just wasn't EVIL enough for me. When he was on-screen and the yewt wasn't hitting the fan, I felt like I was watching nothing more sinister than Doctor Who, and even when it WAS hitting the fan, the creepiest he got was a few seconds of Barty Crouch Jr.

If my villain is gonna make people slit their own throats and make little kids pee themselves in hall closets, he can't just look disinterested, dang it! Ah well, I still quite enjoy Tennant as an actor.

I'm curious where they take the story if they decide to go anywhere else with it. I'm not at all familiar with the comics, so I don't know if Kilgrave was her overarching BIG nemesis, so I don't know if there's some other darkness she'll have to root out. They definitely left the door open with the whole IGH mystery.

Pretty solid overall.
