Very bad timing and you have to expect consequences for that.
That being said, USU is acting exactly as he described here. Let the guy go if he wants no part of the team, the only press from this will be bad press. Also, I think it is unfair that they can take him off scholarship and still block his transfer, that makes no snense to me.
