Plus backwards compatibility with the original Wii and you can play tons of games.

I think the PlayStation 4 is the console of this generation although I bought an XboxOne. I think their main appeal isn't what you're looking for if you want to play games with your younger children.

Nintendo is coming out with a new console in the next year or two though. But, there are so many great games you could get right now it's no worry
