Interesting story that had potential. I couldn't stand the cast: Jeff Daniels as head of NASA was horrible, Matt Damon was meh, Kristin Wiig choice was inexplicible, Michael Peña cannot do serious roles because he's not a serious (or good) actor.

I really liked Sean bean and Jessica Chastain but the rest of the characters wrecked it. It also felt like i was at a high school freshman science fair going from booth to booth listening to a challenge and how they used AWESOME MATH!!! and SCIENCE!!! to overcome it. There wasn't even any unpredictability. Also too many cliché characters.

I should read the book.
