So, we're at DisneyWorld, working our way through some lines ... in the fast pass line. Right in front of us is a family, with a wheelchair like thing ....

Just killing time, I start talking to the dad in front of us, asking him about his visit and all. He tells us it's been good, etc. I notice he has a special red tag around his neck with something about fast pass .... again just killing time, I ask him about it ...

He says it's a special version of the fast pass system, and that they get to basically go to every ride like a fast pass all day. Disney world gave them it because their son, like 6 or something, in the wheelchair, was recently diagnosed with terminal cancer and has like 3 months.

Without thinking, I say something like "Wow, that's cool, you guys are lucky ...." and then the words just die in my mouth ...

I say to him ... "Oh, wait, that isn't what I meant ..." and he was really cool about it and said "I know what you meant ..."

BUT, I sure felt like a total jerk for that ... just came out without thinking at all !!!!
