Let's say Iowa loses today then beats Michigan state in the championship game...
that would almost guarantee the Big10 is left out of the playoff. Then if Alabama loses to Florida in the SEC championship, that would open the door for TWO Big12 teams to make the playoff. If Oklahoma takes care of business against OkState and Baylor were to blow out TCU, that could create a scenario where Oklahoma takes #2 and Baylor could get the #4 spot.

All that is unlikely to happen, but interesting that because the BIG12 doesn't have a CCG, they are the only conference that has a realistic shot at getting two teams into the playoff in the current system.
