Either Collettte, UU, or both might be in trouble.

USU should overrule the coach and let him go. This policy decision is unseemly and makes the University look bad. USU coach looks like a jerk also for going public on the tampering issue. He should have been more discreet on that and just gone quietly after the offenders through NCAA channels.

OTOH, Collette should have to pay for the semester without athletic scholarship. Collette should have played out the semester given his central role on the team. Wouldn't have been a big problem had he not been such an important part of the team. Very selfish of the player. He can't endure another month? Unless the circumstances were abusive in the extreme, Collette's toughness may be questioned.

JMHO.

p.s. The height in the program issue is petty and does no damage to Collette.
