Nothing but concern with Cincy.
Houston has a good argument, but really still hasn't proven itself. Really that last open spot I would bet is between Houston and CSU, but Big12 already has Texas TV market wrapped up. Don't ask me why Houston doesn't have better TV ratings. Nice brand of football, but for whatever reason, it just doesn't bring more eyes on TVs in Texas. I have heard no Chatter between ADs regarding Houston. None. Nada. Zip.

BYU has a TON of chatter. Almost to the point of obvious inclusion.

CSU has some chatter, but some doubts, so it has some work to do, but the fact that their basketball program and women's sports are doing well, its proximity to Denver (40 minutes) and 747-able airport nearby (Loveland, CO); its new 40k seat stadium being erected, and the fact that it is a land-grant university and a research school makes it the best available in my eyes and all of these factors are weighing in with those who are examining schools. So the CSU chatter is deserving.

This I know: Boise St. and UCF are out of the running right now and Cincy is dropping quickly. South Florida (just because it is Florida) has some interest, but isn't considered heavily because it lacks tradition and lacks the weight of an FSU or Florida for TV eyes.

I'm pretty confident that Big12 expands without inclusion this year in Playoffs.

That puts BYU in -- unless something very funky happens (that I can't identify from my discussions with ADs of the Big12 schools)

I would put a fair chunk of betting change on CSU, but Houston is certainly worth consideration as well. Both are just on the outside looking in, but it wouldn't take much to push them in.

Some are arguing for Temple, South Florida, Memphis, Air Force (FB Only) and Navy (FB Only), but these voices all lack votes. BYU & CSU actually have votes to count on.

Nothing happens without Big12 missing the playoffs. If Big12 gets a team in, then BYU shouldn't hold its breath and needs to resign itself to being independent for another 5 years at least.
