A thirteenth game on championship week against a top 50 team keeps you from
Being passed up. Last year the big 12 was passed by tOSU because they didn't have a thirteenth game and on that week.
tOSU jumped over Baylor. You will always be at a disadvantage without a 13th game that week. It you don't have that game you need to be undefeated or you need help. If you have that game you help yourself. It is an eraser.
I have always found it funny that sometimes those who say they are BYU fans discount us more than anybody #fanup

What if BYU is 5-7 one year? That would just hurt them. There aren't enough independent teams to guarantee a good foe
