UCLA is 6th right this very second. ASU could tie them for 6th if they beat Cal tonight
As far as bowl selections, here's how it could break down:

IF STANFORD BEATS USC

Rose: Stanford

Alamo: Oregon/Washington State/USC/Utah. They likely choose Oregon due to their higher national ranking

Holiday: Washington State/USC/Utah/UCLA/Arizona State (if they beat Cal). USC would seem like the obvious choice. However, USC played in this game last year so they would likely want a fresh face. Based off bowl official comments it sounds like national ranking is important to them as well which gives Utah the edge over the other 3 schools. If UCLA would've beaten USC then they probably end up here. Since they lost I'm giving the edge to Utah. Could go a few different ways, though.

Foster Farms Bowl: Washington State/USC/UCLA/Arizona State (if they beat Cal). With USC still on the table they are the pick.

Sun Bowl: Washington State. From this point on the bowls can't drop down the standings making Washington State the pick here.

Las Vegas Bowl: UCLA/Arizona State (if they beat Cal). If Arizona State wins tonight I could see the Vegas Bowl trying to get an ASU vs BYU matchup. Otherwise you'll probably see UCLA play the MWC champ in this game.

Cactus Bowl: Cal or UCLA (depending on if ASU wins and get the Vegas Bowl invite or not). Washington played here last year so they likely don't end up here.

In the off chance that Stanford makes the playoff Oregon would go to the Rose, USC to the Alamo, Utah to the Holiday, UCLA to the Foster Farms, Washington State to the Sun, and the Arizona State/Cal winner in the Vegas Bowl.

IF USC BEATS STANFORD

Rose: USC

Alamo: Stanford/Oregon. They likely take Stanford for the same reason why they would've taken Oregon above.

Holiday Bowl: Oregon/Washington State/Utah. Oregon is likely the pick here due to being the highest ranked of the 3.

Foster Farms Bowl: Washington State/Utah/UCLA/Arizona State (if they beat Cal). It'd be either Utah or UCLA. It depends on if they want the higher ranked team (Utah) or the larger market/fan base/national following (UCLA). My gut tells me they take UCLA, but a Utah selection wouldn't surprise me.

Sun Bowl: Washington State/Utah. I'm guessing they take Utah due to closer proximity, larger school, and higher ranking

Vegas Bowl: Washington State. BYU is likely the opponent in this scenario.

Cactus Bowl: Arizona State (if they beat Cal) or Cal (if they beat Arizona). Washington played here last year so Cal would get the nod over them.

In the off chance that USC and Stanford both make the NY6 then Oregon goes to Alamo, UCLA to the Holiday, Utah/Washington State to the Foster Farms/Sun and Arizona State or Cal to the Vegas Bowl (depending on who wins tonight).

TO RECAP:
The Vegas Bowl opponent could still widely vary even with the season mostly over. Possible teams include UCLA, Arizona State, Cal, and Washington State.
