Taysom vs. Travis from the eyes of most yewts:

I just stumbled accross this. It was a very hot analysis on the Utah message board. I don't know if it was already laughed at because of its ridiculousness, but in light of Wilson's amazing season, and with what Taysom's been able to do, so I'll just leave this here.

Taysom Hill versus Travis Wilson

So I got in a pissing match with 480 last Friday. He thought I should show more love for Taysom Hill…He said I didn’t know what I was talking about when I said Travis Wilson is on par with Hill. He must have a man-crush on Taysom that clouds his judgement.

I took a loot at Wilson’s games against Idaho State, Fresno State, Michigan, and Colorado State. I then looked at Taysom against UCONN, Houston, Utah State, Virginia, and Texas. Comparable schedules and teams I think. Here are the stats between the two:

Record:
Wilson 4-0
Hill 4-1
Edge: Wilson

Completions/Attempts/Yards/TD to Int
Wilson: 55/84 for 776 yards. TD to Int Ratio: 4:1
Hill: 88/132 for 975 yards. TD to Int Ratio: 2.3
Edge: Wilson on the backs of efficiency (8 TDs, 2 Ints)

Rushing (Attempts, Yrds Gained, YPG) – Not counting sacks:
Wilson: 34 attempts for 185 for a 5.44 yds per rush
Hill: 87 attempts for 542 for 6.2 yds per rush
Edge: Hill but barely… More attempts but only .8 yards per carry more on average.

Points Scored versus Points yielded (interesting because a higher spread means more conservative play by the offense therefore affecting net play).
Wilson: In 4 games played Utah 46.5, Opponents 15.3
Hill: In 4 games plus 1 partial TDS 34, Opponents 22
Edge: Wilson.

Conclusion…. Wilson is the better quarterback IMHO.
