Why the rift led to such snarkiness after yesterday's win
Put me firmly in the Bronco fan camp, so take this for what it is worth. However try to remain objective about things whenever I can. But let me put some of my thoughts about yesterday down, as I was very frustrated with the very vocal minority that jumped at the chance to beat the fire Bronco mantra as soon as BYU went down, only to be kind of embarrased by suffering foot in mouth disease, as BYU flipped the script and BYU came back and cruised to victory.

The frustration I have is that the "fire Bronco" crowd seem to...maybe this is a generalization....iinsist that BYU football exist in a vacuum, while other programs or even preceeding coaches are not held to the same standard. I also find it interesting that Bronco's mistakes, many of which he has owned up to, are brought up the moment BYU falls behind or loses a game, but many in the fire Bronco crowd will never acknowledge the great play calls by Anae or defensive calls that Bronco consistently makes that directly lead to victories.

The fire Bronco crowd now seems to be firmly in the camp of 9-3 is a failure when most thought that with Taysom and Jamall, 9-3 would have been a success before the season started. They also consistently bring up that a hail mary and another almost hail mary brought two victories that essentally now should not be counted, simply because the two games came down to a coin flip. The coin flip argument is a fallacy and the fact is is that BYU put themselves into position to win the game because of good coaching and great individual and team play.

The fire Bronco crowd seems to believe that the Michigam game should be counted as 4 losses because it was such a shellacking, and that it proved that Bronco stinks as does Robert, yet they still seem to forget that BYU was missing several key players in that game, lost a heartbreaker the week before, traveled to the eastern time zone and just looked completely gassed the whole game.

What irks me the most is that Bronco is crticized on CB because he is devot LDS and wears his religion on his sleeve. I have read some pretty nasty little snarky remarks on here because BYU football does its firesides before road games, or because Bronco has in the past be a bit too religious in his analogies.

Ultiimately I think what frustrated me the most was that I went on here yesterday to celebrate the victory with like minded fans only to see post after post from some pretty embarrased fans who had announced the sky was falling only to see that it wasn't. But many in the Fire Bronco crowd seemed to only yell louder and insist that 9-3 wasn't good enough and that this was some type of phantom season.

I found myself defending what I should have been celebrating. Drove me nuts.
