I'll admit, there have been times over the past 5 years where I've joined in on the "Fire Bronco!" calls (any game against Utah, the past two bowl games, 4 losses to MWC/AAC teams last year). He has his weaknesses and shortcomings, to be sure.
But, IF (still a big if) BYU can win it's bowl game and finish 10-3, I don't know how you can be a BYU fan and not be optimistic about what next season could be. We have all of the major pieces of this year's team coming back (except Matthews and Kaufusi, but I think we have talent coming in to replace them). We quite possibly could have both Taysom and Jamaal back. And even if Taysom isn't back, we've got a talent at QB that BYU hasn't had in a decade. How can you look at all that we have returning next year and not see that it could line up to be something special? How can you be so down in the dumps? BYU hasn't been in this good of a place, talent wise, in the post LaVell world.
Chin up, negative nancies. The future just might be better than you think.
