After Magnum took a knee with about a minute left...
giving the ball back to the Aggies, I was incredibly surprised to see the Aggies run another play or two. At that point, they lost any argument for BYU running up the score. Had we wanted, we could have stuffed the ball down their throat and into the endzone one more time, but instead took a knee AND GAVE THE BALL BACK TO THEM.

In a show of sportsmanship, they should have done the same thing---simply acknowledge that the game was over and get off the field. Instead, they tried to run a couple more plays that looked like an intent to score. Given that show, I don't see any reason to ever try to keep the score down. If we want to avoid injury, that's fine, but never worry about RUTS. Big boys can lose a game and it won't impact their gentle psyche. Score when you can. Someday, you'll be on the other side of the ball and I would hope the other team doesn't pull the foot of the gas pedal because they feel sorry for us.
