We're looking at buying a minivan. Our budget is about $25,000 but we could be convinced to go higher. Our requirements are that it has a backup camera(must), bluetooth(important), stow and go(important), and seats 8(optional). It looks like we can buy used Siennas/Odysseys with 30-50k miles within our budget (looking at ksl). It looks like we can buy a dodge caravan new with everything we want except the seating of 8 for cheaper, around $23000 (we are using USAA car service to get this price). There is a possibility we can find a used caravan that meets our requirements for even cheaper than that. Are the Japanese cars really worth the premium? The price difference can pay for a lot maintenance and repairs. The plan is to use the minivan until it dies.
