about games with teams like SJSU and USU, because we don't know what we are going to get. We were down to USU 21-10 with 3:00 left in the first half. No, the game wasn't over, but to that point BYU looked shaky. We got just what was needed at that time - some big plays, including the unforced Keeton fumble that led to an amazing TD with no time remaining in the half. Then, BYU came out of the half and scored, which was huge. BYU quickly righted the ship, which made for a sweet win. But, late in the second half, before the tide turned, we remembered the SJSU game, the Mizzou game, and fans are clamoring for BYU to be a step ahead, a step better than opponents in these games.

Personally, while 9-3 is very good, I have marginal confidence that BYU can beat any bowl opponent. It's not that I hate Bronco or his staff. It's simply a matter of confidence. I'll still buy tickets and be present for the LV Bowl (if that's where it is played), or will give up my traditional Christmas Eve plans to watch BYU play in the Hawaii Bowl if that's where they wind up. I just want to have more confidence. Also, I'm hoping that Bronco doesn't proclaim the season a great success prior to the bowl game, as he did vs. Washington a couple years ago, then have the team go out and lay an egg.
